Releasing Emotions
Some of us were taught or we figured out that big feelings and emotions are not okay to feel.
Sure, the world tells us it’s okay to feel happy, excited, sad, grief, frustration. But what if we feel really happy, ecstatic, angry, or overwhelming grief and we bottle it up because we have seen that big feelings can be responsible for big reactions that often hurt others and those we care about or it’s too much for others to handle.
The trick is to express and feel those emotions in a safe container. That way we can process them more clearly and express them in a less reactive manner.
